Randomosity

***I have been reading Fifty shades of Grey. Completely filthy and dirty, and I have been loving every minute of it. AND it is the first time I have read a book on my kindle, which I must admit, I love. Now it is in the news as Mommy porn, lol, and they are making a movie out of it! Omygeezh. How in the world they are going to make a movie out of what my eyes are reading is beyond me. I think I will stick to the book!

***Summer is in the play "Annie" and casted as an Orphan. How stinkin cute can you get. Our house has been full of "It's a hard knock life", and "Little Girls" that the boys are dying when the CD gets turned on for practice. I am SO excited for her!

***Jake is back in Track and super fast. He is in Chiropractic care, so we are working things out and a little bit too slow for him, but Thank God we found him help. The Dr. actually said he looks like someone that had been in a car wreck and had whiplash or jumped off a roof or something. My boys. I know it is from all those flips on his skates and such. The Dr. is amazed he has even been running up to this point.

***I am going out tomorrow night with my High School friend to a really cool Art Exhibit at the Art Museum and we are taking our older daughters. It's cool cause we were actually there when each other HAD these girls years ago. 18 and 16 respectively.

***Jake has been volunteer at the Food Center. Awesome.

***Matt has been in Cup Stacking. Tonight is the Last one.

***Mike and I took Matt to see the Hunger Games this weekend. Freaking. Awesome. If you haven't gone. Go. If you haven't read the book. Read. Nough said!

My Baby is Five

Gosh...This celebration took a whole weekend! It was great! Here is a glimpse of it through pictures. The day of her actual birthday she wore her Easter dress to school, took cupcakes to classmates, got presents spaced out all day long, covered her body in tattoos, lol, and we went to Grandmas (since Grandma is still recovering from surgery and couldn't come to the party on Sunday)

Then on Sunday the party began! Starting at the entrance of the house with a candy bar! Filled with Summer's favorite choices ;) The winner of pin the tail on the donkey got an EXTRA scoop!

It was awesome weather and a wonderful day. I sure do love this little one. I can't believe five years have slipped by already!

This is the Time in My Life

Tatum's Announcements came! I am pouring over pictures and lists and SO EXCITED! This is a BIG thing for not only her but me. We did it. (and we did pretty good!) The insert reads...

Please come help us celebrate the graduation of our daughter, Tatum Winter, in a joyous evening affair. This for all the love, support, and friendship we have had in raising her to this momentous point.

Super Super excited :)
The weather here has been crazy! For Ohio and middle of March to be hitting 80's is wild. It is beyond wonderful and the world is alive with blooms and smells and color! The kids play outside every second they can, the windows are open, and the grass has already been cut!
Ryan's cookout for his birthday went well. Mike grilled Ribs and it was just great to be home with all my family.

Life is so good. :)

Here's the Scoop

I know years from now, I will look back at this blog and not be able to get the essence of my life. I am so saddened by this, because for the longest time I kept up so well. I LOVED it and kept up so well. Occasionally I get a little trinket in here and there, and for that I am so grateful, but it still nags at me. I have the most lucid memory and this blog gave me hope. I have been living through one of the busiest seasons of my life right now and not been documenting a thing, and that eats at me. This is an attempt for a catch all. To trigger my future self of this time. It is not near the artistic talents I so aspire for, but it is all this tired mama has.

This March is not even 18 days through and has been a whirlwind. My mom had surgery for a rectal prolapse and it turned into much more than any of us wanted to bite off and chew. The surgery lasted much longer than anticipated due to scar tissue and out of control blood pressure. After surgery they could not get her blood pressure to rise out of the sixties. Even with medication, three different kinds running, it wouldn't rise. Due to conflict it would do to the blood pressure medicine, they could not give her pain medicine. All I know is that if your blood pressure is in the 50's you can die, and that in the 100's to 140's is normal? After not having answers and waiting all day we got to see her for a brief moment. It was terrible and I think shocked us all. Jack turned white. It got very surreal after that. She moaned and cried and it was my dad's death all over again. The had put a catather in her neck threaded thru to her heart and was hooked up all over. Not good.
She did beat it, and was in ICU for days. There have many awful bumps (drainage removal, shots in neck, liquid diet) in the road along the way, but she has done awesome. After a week she got to come home. My sister in law has been a life saver, and although she is recovering herself from a foot surgery has been there to help take of mom and shower and love and help her.

My son has chosen this time to sow his wild oats and not to disclose all our private life on a public forum, about done Mike and I in, lol. Between in school suspensions, groundings, long talks and screaming, getting caught, holes in our doors, girlfriends, and no ipods, I think we {{MAY}} (i use that term loosely but hopeful) have ridden it out and are on the turn for positive. With a solution of working at the food bank and him involved in track, lots of love and strict rules, we just might make it to 15. Oh God, I hope so. My son is now officially as tall as me, and it will break my heart if he doesn't grow up to be all that I know he can be!~

Our oldest daughter is accepted into Miami Oxford, starting at Miami University Middletown to complete the basic credits next fall in Special Education. Her job as a nanny is going fantastic, and she LOVES it. Her and her boyfriend are in love, and he starts in July for training as an electrician.

Mike went to Florida for the big Franchisee convention and took all his managers, and the day after he got back I flew out to Arizona. We together and alone take our trip to Antigua in May.

I have a bounce house booked for Summer's 5th birthday party. In the shape of a castle.

I am in charge of a whole section for after prom. EXCITED and OVERWHELMED!

My birthday was March 5th and yesterdays was Ryan's so tonight we are cooking out ribs for his birthday dinner.

Big construction in our backyard as Creech's builds us the biggest kickass patio ever. For Tatum's graduation party. I cannot. wait.

Tatum get's surgery this summer on her ankle. That break from years ago really needed more attention than we knew. That was why it still hurts years later. Snapped tendon? More to come. Just went for a bone scan this week.

That is the update. Sorry not in blog fodder :) Feeling good I got it out!

Arizona March 2012

My brief trip to Arizona was this weekend. I can honestly say I smiled the whole. time. I felt happy the whole trip. What a gift that is.

When Lacey and I get together, we are not half ass girls. We are all or nothing people. When we do something we THROW ourselves into it, and I think that is why we appreciate each other so much.

I was only there for two full days, but the Dexter fest reigned. (totally not even planned.) 9. Count them NINE episodes Mike and Lacey and I drank and stayed up late into the night watching. I totally got them hooked. Yes!
Apparently sea level or oxygen difference, good night, I DON"T KNOW, but every time I go there, my body does not seem to be affected much by alcohol. Very funny for someone who is such a lightweight. The third night we put it to the test and around, oh, 12 shots later I was still standing straight and not dizzy at all. Completely bizarre!
Our project of the front door. Sigh. Top to bottom. Replace hinge's, hardware, knobs, bolts, cleaned and painted. Around the SAME exact color. Lacey says the color makes it POP! I laugh. I'm glad she is so excited :)
Music stores for piano music. Maddeningly pounding it out on the keyboard. I will get it. You will see!
Photo shoot. Self done. We totally rock. When I move there we will go into business together. She will be the perfect partner. We were really impressed that we carried it off ourselves with just tripods and creativity.

When you can laugh until you have to spit out your water, and make yourself go to bed at night cause you don't want the fun to end, you know you have had a pretty special day. It was awesome:)
